Spare Knight
You are an outdated knight. The world has decided you are obsolete. Wren has decided you are not.

The realm's machines have reached a philosophical consensus — they call it the Absolution Mindset. Organic life, they argue, is inefficient. Better optimized than preserved. They are not wrong. They are just not kind.
Your firmware is three generations out of date. You cannot receive the update.
You have one human to protect. That is enough.
What it is

- Tactical roguelike on a 6×6 isometric grid — speed-based initiative, no attack RNG, every choice committed.
- Souls-like timing reactions — multi-wheel offense and defense braces. Read the chime, time the strike, dodge the bolt.
- Hand-painted Bright Ruins aesthetic — Don't Starve meets Studio Ghibli. Warm, sunlit, weighty.
- Slay-the-Spire-style node map across two acts of fallen kingdom: cornfield, cathedral, silo, the broadcasting Herald, the Prelate at the end.
- ~15–20 minute runs. Defeat is a moment, not a punishment.
Controls
- Mouse — click tiles to move, click ability buttons to act, click reaction wheels to time hits.
- 1–9 — ability hotkeys.
- ESC — pause / settings / quit run.

Very cute idea - some Clair Obscur, STS, Final Fantasy Tactics.
Unfortunately the UI layout is hard to read, and quite buggy, but there's a cool idea in here.
Thanks for your comments and playing it! Accurate depiction, Game UI is not my forte, hopefully I'll improve it in next builds :)
To be honest even the best in the genre have bad UIs. FF Tactics and Fire Emblem i dont think have great UIs either.
If your working on thjs long term totally start a youtube. This kind of game is right up my alley
